Magic Happens
*Magic- noun; an extraordinary power or influence seeming from a supernatural source. *Merriam Webster’s second definition of magic intrigues me, especially the, “from a supernatural source” part. Humans define supernatural sources differently. To find magic some people would look to a god or the goddess, some to amystical ether that is calling, and some might just suggest fate. I am not sure where I stand on it all. I do know that I have found joy in the magic I have been cr

Anvils
Chorus: Dig deep, dig deep- that’s what we have to do Life’s about the moment- we have to seize it me and you We all have anvils- hanging on our hearts Open eyes for others is a great way to start Verse: We like to live our lives – believin’ we’re in control Thinking day to day creates a status quo Our lives are not our own friend- best to jump and hold on tight Adventure’s always worth it- if you can let go of the fight Chorus: Dig deep, dig deep- that’s what we have to do

My work life was turned upside down and I was expected to adjust, adapt and provide instruction in a way I never imagined. Why did I feel like I needed PTSD therapy at the end of school year 2020-21? Just Because
A Tale: Loss, Joy and Hope There once was a father who loved his family. On his death bed he said, “I have such immense love for my children, that it’s hard for me to leave.” He occupied his death bed for two years before his actual death. During this time, he was cared for by his wife, five children and their spouses, and visited often by his beloved grandchildren. The father’s eldest child was a daughter. In his lifetime, the father, a psychologist by trade, helped many pe

Little Girls, Little Girls
Song started summer 2019-recorded summer 2021 Little Girls, Little Girls was inspired and created for my first 2 grandchildren. Audrey and Marion. The song itself is a hope for their lives and even bigger a rally cry for all girls everywhere. At the time this simple song was conceived the world was in the midst of the “Me-Too” movement. Women everywhere were standing-up and claiming our unique voices and stories. We have a long way to go. We are swimming upstream in a mighty
